Welcome to Kiki Travels - a collection of recommendations and reviews. Sometimes they’re local, a lot of the time they’re in New Zealand, and a couple of times a year, they’re international.

 

What started as a passion project with my son in 2019, and the creation of our travel blog Afven (Affordable Adventures), later inspired me to study to become a qualified travel writer.

That happened in 2020 and I enjoyed writing travel content and sharing our trips, mainly focussed on budget travel for families, for a number of years.

 

In 2023, the scope changed (so did the name) and now my content ranges from travelling for food and wine, to sun, sand and snow, and everything in between. I’m always looking for travelling inspo, and I hope you find some here.
